It is with deep regret and sorrow that we inform the sad news to faithful and the wider community that our beloved Jaswinder Singh, who was also known with his nick name as Nikka has passed away. He Passed away on Wed 17th Dec. at the doctor’s office. He drove there him self for examination and passed away during exam due to heart failure. He was only 32 years old. Sahib Guru Nanak Ji had ordered my father Sardar Harbans Singh to live some time in
grihst Jivan to perform his duties. After my father performed all his duties
sucessfuly and blessed us all, Guru Sahib Ji has called him back to heavens on 4th
of Nov. when he was in Chandigarh.

First Sikhs in Houston started to use one home as Houston Gurdwara and to pray. There were not too many Sikh in Houston Gurdwara that time, But with their collective efforts they bought first piece of land at 8819 praire dr for Houston Gurudwara and used a small wood building for assembly and prayers, that was first Sikh center or Houston Gurdwara. Now there are nearly 5-10,000 follower in Houston and many more in surrounding cities. There are now 7 to 8 Gurdwara in Houston, Mainly SikhCenter, Breen, NanakSar, Ravidas, Sugarland, Fairbanks & Feature SNC. You can find one houston Gurdwara most convenient to you. It doesn't matter which Houston Gurdwara you go to as long as you try to be a good Sikh, a Spiritual student, learner or scholar (Which all means still be a Sikh) Following the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as your Guide Master Guru .
